Set password for each room
complete
Dongho Lee
It would be useful to have a function to enter a password to enter the room.
This is because we need features that make the Spot address fixed and allow only a specific person out of many people to enter. Especially when using it for student education, it seems that a password is required for security reasons.
Another reason is that I think that various game functions such as room escape games can be put here. :)

Stefan Sundin: Thank you for the quick update. :)

Dongho Lee: We added the ability to put a password on spaces with a public url. You can open the "Edit space" dialog to see the changes.
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather: Thank you for your kind explanation. :)

Hi Dongho Lee. We have now released password protected public spaces. You can now edit a space and use a new toggle called "Require a password to join" to set a password for that space. The password is not required for existing members of the team. Please give this new feature a try and let us know what you think. :)

We're adding the ability to put a password on a space. So anyone attempting to join a space that has a password set, has to enter the password.
Wes Hather
Yeah good point - would not be a good experience to enter two passwords coming in lol.
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather: Is there any chance that these features will be added?
Wes Hather
Dongho Lee: Yes this is something we've thought about and do want to implement. Originally we thought about it in terms of passwords on a particular space, not per room. So if it's passwords on a room, we'd have to think about that a bit more.
The other feature we want to build are room-based and world-based permissions. Meaning only users of a specific role can enter (you can check out Roles in your Team Settings). Would this be something you would use?
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather:
Yes. Most of it can be solved with team settings for a fixed number of people or for small and educational purposes.
However, the main reason is for school festivals, events, or cases where the link must be disclosed externally. Because, in the news these days, there are often cases where students suddenly enter the platform and suffer damage.
So, it seems that it is necessary to enter a password when entering for the first time.
Of course, changing the address every time is an alternative. but We require a password entry method like Gathertown.
Wes Hather
Dongho Lee: That makes sense, thanks. So if passwords could be set on the space level like GatherTown - that would solve your use case? Adding passwords to the room level would add more complications.
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather: Yes, that's right. Even in my opinion, if it is room level, it can be very complicated from the point of view of users and developers.
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather: It seems that a space level password setting such as GatherTown would be sufficient. :)
Wes Hather
To confirm - you want passwords to enter a particular room in a space? Or just a password to enter a space and then you can access all rooms?
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather:
passwords to enter a particular room in a space.
Dongho Lee
Wes Hather:
However, since Spot is a function to invite each room, it will be difficult for the password for the entire space and the password for a particular room to coexist, right?
